Understanding jealousy

Jealousy is a tricky emotion, and one which we often try to suppress. After all, who wants to be known as the jealous boyfriend/girlfriend/mate/colleague?

It can be a problem in just about any area of your life - who hasn’t been jealous of a work colleague’s promotion? - but it’s often at its worst in a relationship.
Jealousy affects different people in different ways.

Some might become outwardly angry while others let it eat away at them becoming more and more bitter. And, like any extreme emotion, Jealousy can have a detrimental effect on your health too, leading to sleeping problems and other stress related symptoms.

You may even feel like your Jealousy is a physical feeling in the pit of your stomach, but it’s when jealousy starts taking over your life - whether it’s your problem, or you have a jealous partner - that it’s time to seek advice on overcoming that jealousy so you can enjoy your relationship to its full potential.
